If you file for a Chapter 13 do you have to put your income tax return towards paying off your debt?

Under normal circumstances, if you are under Chapter 13 you will still receive your tax refund. Typically under Chapter 7 bankruptcy the Treasury Department will hold your tax refund until you are discharged. Your bankruptcy attorney can provide more details in your specific case.
