converting chapter 13 to a chapter 7

converting chapter 13 to a chapter 7


i filed a chapter 7 in july 2000 and was discharged in nov 2000 i filed a Chapter 13 august 2006 my payment is to high with our big house payment so we deeded the house back can i file a Chapter 7 ?
we filed the 13 to save our house but then our house payment went way up by $400 a month we cannot afford this

  • The rules in this area are complicated.

    Typically you must wait 8 years between filing your first and second bankruptcy under Chapter 7. If you have filed a Chapter 13, the waiting period may be reduced to six years.
