What about all the little things in my home? My digital camera, my TV, & other not "high dollar" things but things that are valued over $100. My daughter's bike & other things. I'm recently divorced & own my car (paid for) it's 10 years old & has 117,000 mls on it. Maybe worth 3 grand. My car isn't just for myself it's also for my daughter. Is that taken into consideration when going bankrupt? I've heard the basics on your home & car & things valued over $1000 but what about the other things? Does someone come into your home & itemize or something what they can sell?? I don't mean to sound dramatic, but this isn't mentioned anywhere online that I can find.
What property do I lose through a chapter 7 bankruptcy?

The purpose of bankruptcy is not to take everything you own. You are permitted to keep basic personal belongings, provided they do not have significant value. Unless you have a massive home theater system, you do not lose your T.V. in a bankruptcy.
What you are allowed to keep in a bankruptcy is different in each state, so we suggest you contact a bankruptcy attorney to advise you on your specific situation.
