Bankruptcy and judgement

If the debt is in the form of a judgement, can it still be discharged by Chapter 7 bankruptcy?

1 Comments:

  • Generally yes, a judgement is discharged in a bankruptcy. However, there are some exceptions, so you should contact a bankruptcy attorney to review your specific situation. Bring a copy of the judgement with you to your first meeting with your bankruptcy attorney so that they can review it and advise you fully.
