My wife and I had to file a 13 almost four years ago after our small business failed.  The standing trustee collects arrears via ACH from my wife's paycheck (I'm unemployed), and she's a teacher.  Since she did not have a paycheck during the summer months, the trustee went unpaid.  Neither the trustee, nor us or our attorney, considered the summer paycheck issue when entering the agreement.  Due to not being paid, the trustee filed with the court for dismissal of our case; it did not contact us to resolve the issue, and reported to the court new arrearages nearly twice what my audit came up with.

Is the court-appointed trustee in service only to the creditors?  I thought it was supposed to represent the debtors as well, even negotiating between parties.  Is my trustee my friend or my enemy?
